PREPARATORY STAGE at CKMNSS includes Grades 3, 4 and 5.

The school follows a 5-day week schedule for this section. The focus of this key stage is to facilitate transition gradually from play-based learning to more formal but interactive classroom learning. It will lay a solid groundwork across subjects, including reading, writing, speaking, physical education, art, languages, science, and mathematics. Here we prioritise on innovative, learner-centric approach coupled with experiential learning strategies to nurture divergent thinking. Engaging activities and enriching experiences, such as role-playing, field excursions, project-based learning, and collaborative endeavours, are intricately woven throughout the curriculum. This approach ensures that concepts are captivating, thought-provoking, and indelible, leaving a lasting impression on the minds of our learners. The academic disciplines encompassed within Grades 3 - 5 include English, Malayalam, Hindi, Mathematics, and Environmental Science. The co-scholastic sphere encompasses Information Technology, Physical Education, Music and Dance, Art and Craft.

Evaluation & Assessment 

In tandem with CBSE directives, academic assessments at this level is continuous and formative. This includes assessments of co-scholastic areas like Life Skills, Attitudes and Values, participation and achievement in activities involving Literacy and Creative Skills, Scientific Skills, Aesthetic Skills, Performing Arts and Clubs as well as Health and Physical Education.
